Part-Time Kitchen Assistant / General Nursery Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1:30pm – 6:00pm

We are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable, and energetic Kitchen Assistant / General Nursery Assistant to join our dedicated team.
Your Role
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and serving of fresh, organic meals and snacks.
- Support the delivery of our nutritious menu, ensuring meals are prepared to a high standard.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
- Wash up and ensure kitchen areas remain clean, organised, and well-stocked.
- Confidently cover the kitchen and meal preparation for extra hours when the Chef is on annual leave or absent.
- Share our passion for healthy eating, sustainability, and nourishing young children through quality food.
Nursery Support & Housekeeping
- Assist the nursery team with end-of-day routines and activities.
- Help create a fun, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
- Support children's wellbeing and comfort as required.
- Carry out light housekeeping duties, including tidying play spaces, cleaning surfaces, organising resources, and helping maintain a clean, welcoming nursery environment.
- Support the smooth running of the nursery as part of a collaborative team.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has cooking experience and enjoys preparing fresh meals from scratch.
- Is highly efficient, organised, and able to work independently.
- Takes pride in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Is reliable, proactive, and flexible.
- Has a warm, caring, and positive attitude.
- Is passionate about children's wellbeing and understands the importance of a nurturing environment.
- Shares our commitment to sustainability, healthy living, and environmental responsibility.
- Brings enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine love for working around young children.
- Has a positive, can-do attitude and is happy to muck in wherever needed to support the team and nursery community.
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and previous experience in a nursery, school, or catering environment would be advantageous, although training can be provided for the right candidate.

Salary: £13.45/hour (£14.18/hour when covering Chef duties)
