Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organisation of our kitchen environment, ensuring smooth daily operations. Duties
- Assist with basic food preparation and support chefs during service
- Wash, scrub, and sanitise dishes, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety standards
- Restock supplies and ensure all areas are organised for upcoming shifts
- Support the team with waste disposal and recycling procedures
- Assist with general cleaning duties within the kitchen and food storage areas
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for motivated individuals
- Basic understanding of food hygiene standards and safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including evenings and weekends if necessary
