We’re looking for an Employer Engagement Manager to help promote and embed the fully funded Access to Work Mental Health Support Service (ATWMHSS) across Scotland.
In this role, you’ll build and maintain strong relationships with employers, raising awareness of the service and encouraging high-quality referrals. You’ll work closely with organisations to help them understand the support available and empower them to create healthier, more supportive workplaces.

We are looking for…
An Employer Engagement Manager, who can confidently build and develop relationships with organisations across Scotland, act as a trusted point of contact, deliver engaging presentations, generate a strong pipeline of referrals through proactive engagement, and represent TBHG and its service.
The role is full time 37.5 hours Monday to Friday. You must have access to your own vehicle, ability to drive with a UK driving licence, and the ability to travel to different locations across Scotland to promote the service.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and key stakeholders across Scotland.
- Promote the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service through presentations, events and targeted outreach.
- Generate and develop a sustainable pipeline of high-quality employer referrals.
- Develop engagement strategies and work towards agreed referral and engagement targets.
- Build partnerships with employer networks, business organisations and industry groups.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth employer referral and onboarding journey.
- Maintain accurate records, monitor performance and report on activity, referrals and outcomes.
- Stay informed about the Scottish business landscape and adapt engagement approaches to reach employers across all regions.
Qualification & Essential Criteria
● Enhanced DBS/PVG Check (this can be arranged prior to start date).
● Eligibility to work in the UK (unrestricted).
● Based in Scotland, with the ability and willingness to travel extensively across the country, including the Highlands and Islands.
● At least 3 years' experience in an employer engagement, business development, sales, or partnership role.
● Excellent presentation and public speaking skills, with the ability to engage and influence employers at all levels.
● Strong relationship-building and networking skills, with a track record of generating referrals or new business.
● Understanding of workplace mental health issues and their impact on employers and employees.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and travel schedule.
● Proficiency in CRM platforms and other relevant tools.
● Full, clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Desirable Criteria
● Experience within the health, disability, or employability sector.
● Prior experience of working on, or with, the Access to Work Mental Health Support Service contract.
● Demonstrated knowledge of the economic, political, and cultural factors influencing the business environment in Scotland.
● Existing network of employer or business contacts across Scotland.
● Bachelor's degree in health, business, or a related field.
