About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate, patient and experienced Support Worker to provide 1:1 support for a 30 year old female with complex needs and behaviours that may challenge.
The client is non verbal and communicates using the Connect by Spelling Technique and she requires consistent, structured support to help her live safely and meaningfully within her home and community.
The Client presents with behaviours that may challenge and has a diagnosis of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). An understanding of OCD and associated anxiety based behaviours is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting with personal care
- Assisting with nutrition and meal preparation
- Promoting socialisation and community access
- Supporting structured communication using Connect by Spelling
- Implementing positive behaviour support strategies
- Working within clear routines and care plans
- Encouraging independence while maintaining safety
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience supporting individuals with complex needs and challenging behaviour
- Understanding of OCD and anxiety related behaviours
- Patient, calm and consistent approach
- Ability to follow structured communication methods
- Good written and verbal documentation skills
- Commitment to dignity, respect and person-centred care
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: £16.59 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 35.0 per week
