Overview
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Ground Worker / Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting construction and ground work projects through various manual tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, work well within a team, and possess a strong work ethic. Duties
- Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
- Digging trenches, holes, or foundations as required for construction projects
- Moving and transporting materials using manual handling equipment or by hand
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with their tasks as needed
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment by removing waste and hazards
- Supporting the setup and dismantling of site facilities such as barriers and signage
- Following health and safety protocols at all times to ensure personal and team safety
Experience
- Prior experience in manual labour, construction, ground working, or similar roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites is desirable but not mandatory
- Prior Plant machinery use
