We are seeking a proactive and detailed Goods In Operative to join our team.
The main purpose of the role will be to receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately and efficiently, ensuring stock is handled safely and recorded correctly within the warehouse system. Both physical and system work will be required in this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive deliveries and unload goods from vehicles safely
- Check incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
- Inspect items for damage or discrepancies and report any issues
- Accurately book stock into the warehouse system
- Label and store goods in appropriate warehouse locations
- Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock counts
- Operate FIFO logic throughout the warehouse
- Ensure all goods are handled in line with health and safety procedures
- Work closely with purchasing, logistics, and warehouse teams
- Keep the goods-in area clean, organised, and compliant with standards
- Manage warranty and quarantine stock
- Be instrumental in the warehouse improvement plan
- Product location maintenance
- Daily replenishment of stock for pickers and packers
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse or goods-in experience preferred
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT skills (e.g. stock systems, Excel)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Team player with good communication skills

The role is site based, working Monday - Friday - 40 hours per week (08.30am - 5.00pm)- , from our Nottingham Warehouse.
