Are you an experienced Sous Chef with a passion for delivering exceptional events?
We are seeking an Events Senior Sous Chef to join the team at Sky Garden, working in partnership with the Rhubarb Events Team to deliver outstanding culinary experiences across a diverse portfolio of corporate, private and VIP events.
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organised and operationally strong chef who thrives in a fast-paced events environment and enjoys leading teams to execute exceptional food experiences at every stage of service.
As Events Senior Sous Chef, you will oversee event production and delivery across Sky Garden, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency and guest satisfaction.
What You'll Be Doing

Leading the planning, preparation and execution of all events at Sky Garden.

Managing kitchen operations across multiple events and services, ensuring seamless delivery from production through to service.

Acting as the key culinary liaison between the Rhubarb Events Team and Sky Garden operations.

Leading, mentoring and developing chefs to deliver event menus, recipes, service styles and presentation standards consistently.

Supporting menu development, client tastings and the implementation of innovative food concepts across a variety of event formats.
What We're Looking For

Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Sous Chef within events, banqueting, premium catering, hospitality or hotel environments.

Strong background in delivering high-volume and high-profile events while maintaining exceptional culinary standards.

A hands-on leader with the ability to motivate, coach and inspire kitchen teams.

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating closely with operations and event teams.

A proactive and solution-focused approach, with the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic events environment.
Good to Know
This is a fully site-based role split between Sky Garden and our South West London Events Kitchen. You'll be involved in both the production of event catering within our Events Kitchen and the delivery of events at Sky Garden, giving you exposure to the full event lifecycle. The role offers a salary of £47,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
You'll be joining one of London's leading hospitality and events businesses, delivering everything from intimate VIP dinners and private celebrations to large-scale corporate functions and exclusive hospitality experiences. This is an opportunity to work within a renowned venue while playing a key role in shaping and delivering memorable events.
