Position Overview:
In the role as Warehouse Operative, they will be responsible for all aspects related to the movement of stock into and out of the warehouse, including receiving and putting away inventory, preparing shipments and all necessary paperwork, and coordinating shipments to our customers. They will also provide support to the office manager and other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track incoming shipments from domestic and international suppliers, troubleshoot problems by contacting suppliers and shipping companies.
- Receive and unpack shipments, check for accuracy, and correctly receive shipments into an inventory management system.
- Coordinate, process, and track outgoing shipments to domestic and international customers while working with a variety of freight providers.
- Process and prepare all orders for shipping, including initiating dispatches, picking, packing orders, and managing all necessary paperwork for both pallet and parcel shipments.
- Store materials on warehouse racking, cabinets, and bins, keeping area clean and organized.
- Perform regular stock checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Follow detailed procedures accurately, and consistently.
- Performing all duties above for PEM UK within the same physical warehouse
Qualifications:
- GCSE or equivalent qualification required or higher degree preferred
- Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures and management
- Forklift certification preferred
- Previous experience working with freight providers is preferred.
- Experience with ERP / MRP systems is preferred

- The ability to read and write in English, as well as maintaining records and creating reports for various purposes.
