Brief outline of job: Driving van to events to setup equipment, packing orders for customers, maintaining equipment and making sure that the unit is kept organised.
About us:
We are Marvellous Glow, based in Essex delivering bespoke event lighting all over the country.
We specialise in hiring out, quite frankly the most marvellous carnival letter lights, festoons and bespoke lighting for events both large and small.
Over the past few years, our giant letters and festoons have featured at a wide range of high profile events, television and of course weddings.
We also have an online business selling Neon lighting to customers which you will be involved with as well.
What we need:
We are on the hunt for new event & packing staff.
You'll need to have a full UK driving license, preferably event experience and be willing to work hard in a team and on your own.
We need someone hard working and very reliable to drive to and from events in London and surrounding counties.
You will also be needed to pack neon sign orders ready for couriers to collect from us and send to customers.
Main responsibilities & what is expected of you:
- Loading & unloading the van for events
- Be the first point of call when meeting clients
- Packing orders for Marvellous Neon to send to consumers
- Keep the warehouse area tidy and organised
- Setting up light up letters, festoon lighting, disco balls, dance floors etc
- Must be Trustworthy and able to work on your own
- Maintaining equipment at our Great Dunmow unit - This includes painting and checking electrical equipment is well maintained
- Driving to collect & drop off lighting at events
Our ideal candidate:
- Punctual, presentable & polite
- Able to think on your get and use common sense
- Not afraid to get your hands dirty and get stuck in
- Interest in events
- Be able to speak to clients and represent Marvellous Glow
- MUST have a driving license and have driven for at least 3 years
About the hours:
You will be given an itinerary two weeks in advance so you know what days you are working.
You will be expected to work 4-5 days per week, split between weekends and weekdays.
