Finance Lead
Location: Vayra Care Head Office – Radlett
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week)
Reporting to: Finance Director / CEO
Salary: £38,000 – £42,000based on skills & experience

We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Finance Lead to provide strategic financial leadership across our portfolio of care homes. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified finance professional to play a key role in shaping the future growth and success of the organisation while supporting the delivery of high-quality care services.
About the Role
As Finance Lead, you will be responsible for leading all financial operations across the group, ensuring strong financial governance, accurate reporting, effective budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership team, and Home Managers, you will provide expert financial insight, support strategic decision-making, and help drive operational and commercial performance across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all finance functions across the care home group.
- Produce monthly management accounts and financial performance reports.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Monitor cash flow, profitability, occupancy-related income, and expenditure.
- Oversee resident billing, fee income management, and debt control.
- Ensure compliance with statutory financial, accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors and advisors.
- Analyse business performance and provide recommendations to improve financial outcomes.
- Support strategic projects, acquisitions, developments, and growth initiatives.
- Lead and develop the finance team while providing guidance to operational managers.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and experienced finance professional who can combine strong technical expertise with commercial awareness and leadership capability.
Essential Requirements
- ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA , experience with, progress towards or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Proven experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts.
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, governance, and statutory compliance.
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience leading and developing teams.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within the care home, healthcare, social care, or hospitality sectors.
- Experience working within a multi-site organisation.
- Experience supporting business growth, acquisitions, or development projects.
- Knowledge of care home funding models and occupancy-driven businesses.
- Understanding of CQC requirements and the care sector.
