About The Role
Lead and manage operational team members in their day-to-day activities, ensuring high standards of operational excellence. Responsible for coordinating all onsite vehicle movements, overseeing sale day preparation, and ensuring pre-inspection and vehicle imagery are completed accurately and within required timeframes.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead and manage the operational team in their day-to-day duties, ensuring appropriate resources are in place to support vehicle movements, operational tasks, and sale day driving.

Ensure all vehicle movements for storage, sale preparation, lane driving, and outbound processing are completed efficiently and within required timeframes.

Oversee the preparation and delivery of all physical auction sales, ensuring vehicles are presented to a high standard.

Ensure ad hoc customer requirements are managed and delivered effectively.

Maintain accurate yard administration and ensure regular stock checks are completed on time.

Monitor team productivity and maintain high quality standards across all operational functions.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers while they are onsite at the auction.

Continuously review and improve operational processes to drive efficiency and ensure effective collaboration with other site functions, buyer services, and logistics teams.

Identify team and individual training needs and ensure appropriate development and support is provided.

Complete all people management responsibilities, including regular team meetings and one-to-one reviews.

Manage performance-related matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, absence management, and performance improvement plans where required.

Coordinate Health & Safety within the operational area, ensuring all documentation, training, and compliance requirements are completed in a timely manner.
What We’re Looking For

Proven experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Strong ability to resolve customer queries and complaints in a professional and effective manner.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines.

Previous people management or supervisory experience within a similar operational environment.

Experience in managing team resources, including overtime planning and allocation.

Good IT skills, including experience using computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Knowledge and understanding of Manheim products and services.

Strong delegation skills with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate team resources.
