Hypalon RIB & Inflatable boat Technician
Do you have a keen eye for detail and a "hands-on" approach to problem-solving? We are looking for a skilled RIB Tube Repairer & fitter to join our marine maintenance workshop. Whether it’s a pinhole leak in a commercial workboat or a full tube replacement , you’ll be the one ensuring our clients stay afloat and safe.
The Role
As one of our technicians, you’ll be responsible for the restoration, maintenance and fitting of hypalon inflatable tubes, parts and accesories
Key Responsibilities:
Repairs: Performing high-quality bonding repairs on punctures, tears, and seam failures etc.
Refurbishment: Removing old tubes and prepping hulls for complete re-tubing projects.
Component Fitting: Installing handles, rubbing strake, D-rings, and pressure relief valves.
Quality Control: Ensuring all repairs meet safety standards and aesthetic expectations before the RIB leaves our workshops
What We’re Looking For
Experience: A skilled person with proven experience working with Hypalon and PU fabrics. RIBS & inflatable boats.
Precision: Ability to cut, sand, glue, measure & fit with accuracy, hypalon fabrics and fittings
Knowledge: Familiarity with 2-part adhesive systems and solvent cleaners. Hypalon fabric and rigid inflatable boats
Stamina: Physical fitness to move, flip, and work around larger hypalon tubes in a workshop environment.
Attitude: A pride-in-workmanship mindset. You treat every boat as if it were your own.
