Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, maintaining consistency and presentation standards.
- Oversee food safety procedures, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and minimise waste to optimise kitchen operations.
- Develop new menu items in collaboration with management, considering current culinary trends.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area at all times.
- Assist in serving guests when necessary, providing excellent customer service.
- Monitor food quality throughout the preparation process to uphold high standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within hospitality or restaurant settings.
- Supervising experience with strong team management skills.
- Extensive knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation.
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and regulations.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Pay: £12.00-£15.00 per hour
