About Us
At Bluebird Care Camden & Hampstead, we're passionate about helping people live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. We believe exceptional care starts long before a care visit takes place. It starts with the very first conversation.
We're looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and commercially minded Customer Care and Development Lead to become the face of Bluebird Care within our local community.
This is a newly created role and a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience within the domiciliary care sector, combined with a strong sales and business development background, to help shape how we engage with healthcare professionals, prospective customers and their families.
About the Role
This is a varied role combining business development, sales, community engagement and customer care.
You'll spend time developing and strengthening relationships with local healthcare and social care professionals, community organisations and referral partners, while also supporting prospective customers and their families through their journey from initial enquiry to the start of care.
A key part of the role will be identifying opportunities to generate new enquiries, following up leads and helping convert suitable enquiries into new care packages. You'll therefore need to be comfortable with the commercial side of the role, while always ensuring families receive a compassionate, supportive and professional experience.
Your previous experience within domiciliary care will mean you understand the needs of people looking for care at home, the importance of responding quickly and sensitively to enquiries, and the wider health and social care landscape.
Working closely with our Care Manager and wider office team, you'll help us continue to grow our customer base and strengthen Bluebird Care's reputation as a trusted provider of high-quality home care within our community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with GPs, district nurses, hospital discharge teams, pharmacists, social workers and other local healthcare and social care professionals.
- Proactively developing new referral relationships and identifying opportunities to generate new business.
- Representing Bluebird Care at local events, networking opportunities and community initiatives.
- Raising awareness of Bluebird Care and the domiciliary care services we provide within the local community.
- Managing enquiries from prospective customers and their families with empathy, professionalism and a commercial mindset.
- Meeting with prospective customers and their families to understand their needs and clearly explain how Bluebird Care can support them.
- Following up leads and enquiries effectively, with a focus on converting suitable opportunities into new customers and care packages.
- Working alongside the Care Manager and customer care team to ensure a smooth transition from initial enquiry through to the commencement of care.
- Maintaining regular contact with prospective customers, families and healthcare professionals to build strong, lasting relationships.
- Using our CRM system to manage leads, track enquiries and ensure opportunities are followed up consistently.
- Helping identify opportunities to improve the customer journey and our approach to business development.
- Acting as an ambassador for Bluebird Care and promoting our values in everything you do.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines a genuine passion for helping people with the confidence and commercial awareness needed to grow a successful domiciliary care business.
You'll ideally have:
- Previous experience working within the domiciliary care/home care sector.
- Proven experience in sales, business development or converting customer enquiries into new business.
- A good understanding of the domiciliary care customer journey, from initial enquiry through to the commencement of care.
- The confidence to proactively develop relationships and generate new referral opportunities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with healthcare and social care professionals, community partners, prospective customers and their families.
- A caring, compassionate and customer-focused approach.
- The confidence to discuss care options and services with prospective customers and help them make informed decisions.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple leads and priorities.
- Confidence using CRM systems to manage and track enquiries.
- A proactive approach to following up opportunities and achieving business development goals.
- A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be advantageous.
What You'll Bring
- A natural ability to connect with people and build trust.
- A strong sales and business development mindset, balanced with empathy and compassion.
- A good understanding of the domiciliary care sector and the needs of people arranging care for themselves or a loved one.
- Professionalism, warmth and empathy.
- Confidence networking and representing Bluebird Care within the community.
- The ability to spot opportunities and turn relationships and enquiries into new business.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership.
- Passion for delivering outstanding customer service and helping our business grow.
