Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our renewable energy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting solar panel systems on various sites. Duties
- Safely installing solar panels and associated equipment on rooftops or ground-mounted systems
- Operating specialised tools such as hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble and secure components
- Connecting electrical wiring and ensuring systems are correctly wired in accordance with safety standards
- Conducting system tests to verify proper operation and troubleshooting any issues that arise during or after installation
- Assisting with site preparation, including the utilisation of mechanical knowledge to interpret technical drawings and plans
- Ensuring all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Maintaining organised work areas and documenting installation progress
Experience
- Proven experience in electrical installation, Solar PV and battery installations
- Knowledge of electrical systems and wiring practices relevant to solar energy installations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with practical skills in using various tools and equipment
