Following the success of Rustique, one of York’s most loved French restaurants, we are delighted to be opening the doors to our newest venue – Le Petit Rustique.
Located next door to Rustique at 28 Castlegate, Le Petit Rustique brings the relaxed charm of a traditional Parisian bistro and neighbourhood wine bar to the heart of York. We are looking for enthusiastic and friendly Waiters and Waitresses to join our opening team and help create memorable experiences for our guests.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a brand-new venue while being supported by the experience, reputation and passion of the established Rustique family.
About the Role
As a member of the Le Petit Rustique front-of-house team, you will play an important role in delivering the warm, welcoming service that has become synonymous with Rustique.
You will be responsible for creating a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience, guiding guests through our French-inspired menu, and ensuring every visit feels special.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service.
- Take food and drink orders accurately and confidently.
- Share your knowledge and enthusiasm for our French dishes, wines and cocktails.
- Deliver food and drinks to a high standard.
- Ensure guests receive a memorable and enjoyable experience.
- Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming restaurant environment.
- Work closely with the kitchen and wider team to ensure smooth service.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a passion for hospitality and delivering excellent customer service.
- Is friendly, approachable and confident when speaking with guests.
- Takes pride in their appearance and attention to detail.
- Enjoys working as part of a team in a busy restaurant environment.
- Is reliable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Has previous restaurant experience (preferred but not essential – full training will be provided).
