Key Responsibilities
As an Advanced Clinical Pharmacist, you will:
- Provide highly specialised clinical advice to the pharmacy clinical trials team regarding haematology and oncology trials conducted within the Trust.
- Report and investigate medicines-related complaints and errors and share learning with key stakeholders. Feedback to patients and or carers where appropriate.
- Analyse, interpret and compare highly complex drug usage and expenditure data, and prepare detailed reports.
- Be responsible for medicines optimisation in Oncology and Haematology.
- Act as the Lead Pharmacist for clinical chemotherapy services to the Trust.
- Be responsible for training pharmacy staff in the dispensing, accuracy checking and clinical checking of prescriptions for systemic anti-cancer therapy and maintaining the list of pharmacy staff authorised to carry out these tasks.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be able to provide evidence of the following:
- A master’s degree in pharmacy. (MPharm or equivalent)
- Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Desirable previous experience in Oncology and Haematology.
