Salary: £40,000 – £44,000 a year (FTE)

Expected Hours: 35 per week (Open to 4 or 5 days/week, compressed hours, flexible schedule)

The Role
Are you an experienced coordinator or administrator with a strong background in UK education, school management, or Local Authority SEND services?
We are hiring an Education & SEND Operations Manager to serve as the operational engine of our growing consultancy. Sitting squarely between technical casework and administrative oversight, you will keep our team structured, efficient, and focused on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Operations: Manage central email inboxes, central telephone lines, and complex diary coordination for senior consultants.
- Process Oversight & Accountability: Track strict statutory timescales (EHCP reviews, tribunal dates) and hold team members accountable to project deadlines.
- Casework Preparation: Source, compile, format, and meticulously bundle evidence documents and statutory reports for SEND casework.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a knowledgeable, empathetic first point of contact for families, schools, and Local Authority officers.
- Quality Assurance: Review and standardise outgoing casework, legal documents, and written communications for quality and structure.
Requirements
- Education / SEND Experience: 3+ years in UK education, Local Authority SEND teams, or school admin (e.g., SENCo admin, EHCP Case Officer, School Business Manager).
- Framework Knowledge: Solid working understanding of the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice.
- Organisational Skills: Outstanding time management, process oversight, and ability to track complex, competing deadlines under pressure.
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and digital document bundle preparation.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with an empathetic approach to families in distress.
- DBS Check: Appointment subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
