Dutton Haulage Ltd is a family run business, serving customers all over the UK. Founded in 1976 by Ted Dutton, we remain family owned and focused on doing things properly, working safely and support each other as a team.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and professional Class 2 ( C ) driver who is looking to deliver a top quality service to our customers through accurate, timely multidrop and direct deliveries.
The role is permanent, full time. You will be working Monday to Friday typically starting between 05:00 and 06:00. Our drivers are the face of our business and are on the frontline when it comes to our customers. They're a friendly bunch, passionate about giving a great customer experience.
The job will include but not limited to:
Multi drop deliveries to both building and commercial sites and residential addresses.
Drive and Operate Class 2 vehicles .
Complete all administration, paperwork and logbooks accurately and on time.
Engage with customers when on site, being friendly and offering great service.
Carry out vehicle and auxiliary equipment checks prior to the operation of any vehicle, reporting any defects immediately.
Report any delivery issues or exceptions in a timely manner .
Complying with all relevant legislation in line with Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
Provide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing any queries.
The right candidate will,
Hold a full UK driving licence with category Class 2 entitlement.
A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
Have excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
Have no more than 6 penalty points on the licence (No, DRs, DDs, IN10s, CUs etc).
High standards of Customer Service.
Have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
