ROLE: Multi Skilled Technician
HOURS: Core working hours are 08:00 to 17:00, with a certain degree of flexibility depending on individual circumstances

We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Multi Skilled Technician to join our growing engineering family, providing a mobile delivery of facilities support services across our client sites.
Role Responsibilities:
Carry out weekly and monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled, including fire alarm tests, flushing of little-used outlets / water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, monthly utilities meter readings, re-lamping of defective luminaires, minor building fabric repairs, minor decorating tasks and minor plumbing repairs.
Provide first line response to reactive repairs, maintain accurate documentation of all assigned work orders, complete documentation as required, including RAMS, and adhere to all associated permits.
Support general office cleaning as scheduled for remote sites, cleaning of toilet facilities and replenishment of consumables, other general cleaning or janitorial duties, external landscaping and cleaning, and ad hoc porterage duties including moves and changes, furniture management and moves, as requested or by exception.
Comply fully with Health, Safety and Environmental policies, follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times, use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received, and report any apparent deficiencies, issues or training needs to your Line Manager and / or via the divisional incident reporting system.
Participate in the standby rota for emergency calls outside normal working hours, provide flexibility in working hours to cover holidays and sickness absence, assist all trades within the team, proactively walk the floors, report any maintenance or H&S issues to the helpdesk and appropriate manager, and provide excellent customer service to building occupants, ensuring they are made aware of work order progress in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications: applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role.
Experience of building maintenance, handyperson or janitorial duties, with a good understanding of health and safety requirements within a building environment and good knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
Must hold a full UK driver's licence and have the ability to record work accurately on work sheets and computer-based systems.
Confident, driven and proactive, with a proactive approach to maintenance and building management, the ability to do the job right and do it right first time within a pre-determined timescale, and a willingness to undertake further training.
Ability to provide a schedule of works for identified additional / remedial works, and experience in writing and following risk and method statements as required on a daily basis.
Good communication skills, the ability to work within a team, experience of working within a customer-focused environment, a flexible approach to work and working hours, and a clean and tidy presentation to represent the company in the most professional manner possible, utilising the uniform and PPE issued.
