Quality Manager
Location: Coventry
Salary: £50K - £70K
Hours: 37 hours per week
Monday–Thursday: 7:30am–4:00pm
Friday: 7:30am–12:30pm
The Opportunity
A well-established manufacturing company in Coventry is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to lead its Quality Department.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you will manage quality across all company sites, maintain the required accreditations and promote a strong quality culture throughout the manufacturing team.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain all quality accreditations.
- Ensure 8Ds are signed off promptly.
- Ensure capacity plans are available for inspection.
- Develop effective quality control processes.
- Promote a quality-focused manufacturing culture.
- Identify deviations from quality standards.
- Maintain accurate quality documentation.
- Complete statistical analysis and KPI reporting.
- Conduct scheduled internal audits.
- Set and monitor compliance objectives.
- Record and review non-conformances.
- Attend supplier and customer visits when required.
- Hold regular Quality Management System meetings.
- Manage quality across all company sites.
- Support reasonable ad hoc projects when required.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified IATF Auditor.
- Quality management experience within manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of quality control, compliance and accreditation requirements.
- Experience conducting internal audits.
- Experience managing non-conformances.
- Strong reporting and analytical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, accurate and proactive.
- Flexible and trustworthy.
- Ambitious, enthusiastic and driven to succeed.
Key Performance Indicators
- Maintain 100% accreditation, including IATF.
- Reduce the cost of quality against agreed targets.
- Monitor and improve quality PPM.
