Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presented attractively
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist with inventory management, including stock rotation and storage organisation
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service hours
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Support the team in meal preparation during busy periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in meal presentation
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and culinary trends is desirable
- Previous experience serving or interacting with customers is advantageous but not essential
