Nursing Direct and our sister company, Nursdoc, are seeking an experienced and compassionate Support Worker to join a dedicated care team providing 2:1 support for a young person accessing the community. This is a rewarding, part-time role suited to someone who is confident, committed, and passionate about supporting young individuals in a person-centred way.
The young person requires support due to the following conditions:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
Support will focus on education, structured activities, and community access, promoting independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide consistent 2:1 support in community and educational settings
- Support engagement in activities and daily routines
- Promote independence, dignity, and emotional wellbeing
- Monitor and respond appropriately to behavioural needs
- Follow personalised care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies
- Maintain safeguarding, infection control, and compliance standards
Essential requirements:
- Minimum 6 months UK experience in a similar support role
- Experience supporting individuals with ASD and ADHD
- Calm, confident, and compassionate approach
- Enhanced DBS (issued within the last year or registered on the Update Service)
- PMVA or equivalent behaviour management training (preferred)
- Safeguarding Level 3 (preferred)
