Vacancy Details
As a Store Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of stock and consumables required to support production operations. You will play a key role in maintaining stock accuracy, replenishing supplies, and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the stores function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain stock levels of production consumables and PPE.
- Receive, store, and issue materials and goods accurately.
- Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure availability of required items.
- Carry out stock checks and inventory control activities.
- Use stock control systems/software to record and track inventory movements.
- Re-stock vending machines with production consumables as required.
- Ensure stores areas are maintained in a safe, clean, and organised manner.
- Support production teams by providing materials in a timely and efficient manner.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a similar Stores Operative or Warehouse Operative role.
- Experience of stock management and stock control processes.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Experience using stock control or inventory management software.
- A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- FLT (Fork Lift Truck) licence preferred.
