Freelance Social Media Content Creator

Location: On-site filming once per week, with remote editing and content management
Hours: Flexible - typically one 2-3 hour filming session per week, plus remote editing and publishing. Additional availability required for around five key event dates per year.

The Role
We are looking for a creative and proactive freelance content creator to lead our social media content production on an ongoing basis.
You will take ownership of the full content process, from idea generation and filming through to editing, captioning and publishing. Working from a shared content schedule, you will create engaging content around promotions, products, campaigns and events, while also bringing forward your own ideas based on trends and opportunities.
This role is not just about filming what is requested. We want someone who can turn business goals into strong social concepts and help us improve the quality, reach and engagement of our content.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan content with the Camping World team using a shared schedule
- Develop creative concepts for promotions, events, products and campaigns
- Bring proactive ideas based on trends, performance and audience relevance
- Attend one on-site filming session per week, typically 2-3 hours
- Film engaging short-form video content with team members on camera
- Edit content into polished, platform-ready videos
- Add subtitles, text, transitions and other suitable creative elements
- Adapt content for Instagram, TikTok and Facebook
- Write captions where required
- Schedule and publish approved content
- Support additional filming and content needs around key annual events
- Help improve overall social reach, engagement and content quality
About You
You will ideally have:
- Demonstrable experience creating short-form social content that performs well
- A strong portfolio of previous work
- A solid understanding of what works on Instagram Reels, TikTok and similar platforms
- Awareness of current social trends, formats and platform updates
- The ability to turn products, promotions and commercial objectives into engaging content
- Confidence filming and editing independently
- Strong organisation and reliability
- Confidence directing and working with people on camera
Experience creating content for retail, lifestyle, outdoor, leisure or consumer brands would be an advantage, but is not essential.
Equipment
You must provide your own professional filming and production equipment, including camera and audio gear, as well as your own editing software and hardware.
Hours and Remuneration
This is an ongoing freelance role typically paid on a monthly retainer.
The current scope includes one regular weekly on-site filming session plus remote editing, preparation, scheduling and publishing. Additional paid work may become available as content needs grow. Any work outside the agreed monthly scope can be discussed and agreed in advance.
Pay: £150.00-£200.00 per day
