Primary location: This is a site-based role at 50 Bank Street, London.
Reports to the relevant Bidvest Noonan Account Director or senior operational lead, with day-to-day functional direction from Northern Trust Global Physical Security Services (GPSS).
The role has direct responsibility for security service delivery at 50 Bank Street and provides operational coordination and support for designated security activities across EMEA.
To lead the day-to-day delivery of contracted physical security services at Northern Trust's 50 Bank Street office and act as the principal operational link between Bidvest Noonan and Northern Trust GPSS.
The Account Manager will ensure consistent standards, effective incident response, strong people leadership, contractual performance and continuous improvement. Although based at 50 Bank Street and outside the Security Control Centre (SCC) structure, the role will work closely with the SCC and support the coordination, governance and delivery of designated EMEA-wide security operations.
Security Operations Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of physical security services at 50 Bank Street, including guarding, access control, patrols, contractor and visitor processes, incident response and support to life-safety arrangements.
- Ensure operations are delivered in accordance with Northern Trust policies, site procedures, Assignment Instructions, contractual requirements and applicable legislation.
- Maintain effective operational coverage, site readiness and service continuity through regular reviews, inspections and corrective action.
- Act as the principal on-site escalation point for security incidents, service issues and urgent business requirements.
Regional Security Operations and Guarding Governance
- Support the organisation and delivery of contracted security operations at designated EMEA locations, as directed by GPSS.
- Act as a conduit between GPSS, Bidvest Noonan management and regional guarding teams, helping to coordinate priorities, instructions, service issues and follow-up actions.
- Provide practical guidance and support to local supervisors and guarding teams, promoting consistent operating standards, reporting, training and service delivery.
- Coordinate regional staffing escalations, short-term deployments, contingency arrangements, holiday and sickness cover, and other operational support requirements where assigned.
- Support regional mobilisation, transition, onboarding, training and service-improvement activity when guarding arrangements or operational requirements change.
- Assist with regional incidents, investigations, assurance reviews, executive visits, major events and periods of elevated threat.
- Undertake periodic travel to EMEA locations for operational reviews, stakeholder engagement, training and assurance activity where required.
Incident Management and Crisis Support
- Coordinate the local response to security incidents, emergencies and business disruptions, escalating promptly to GPSS and the SCC in accordance with agreed thresholds.
- Ensure incident records are timely, accurate and complete, with appropriate investigation, evidence management, root-cause review and corrective-action tracking.
- Support crisis management, partner accountability, welfare and emergency communication activity where requested by GPSS.
- Participate in exercises, testing and after-action reviews, and ensure agreed improvements are embedded into operating procedures.
Intelligence-Led Operations
- Review and act upon relevant intelligence products, threat notifications and security advisories issued by GPSS or the SCC.
- Translate relevant intelligence into proportionate operational measures, briefings and deployment adjustments for site and regional guarding teams.
- Maintain awareness of emerging issues that may affect Northern Trust locations, partners, visitors or business activity, and escalate concerns promptly.
People Leadership and Workforce Management
- Lead, coach and develop the 50 Bank Street security team, setting clear expectations for conduct, service, compliance and professional standards.
- Maintain effective recruitment, onboarding, training, succession and competency arrangements for contracted security personnel.
- Manage performance, attendance, employee relations and welfare matters in accordance with Bidvest Noonan policy and contractual requirements.
- Ensure rosters and relief arrangements provide the required coverage, with staffing gaps and additional-cost implications escalated immediately.
- Monitor overtime, sickness, holiday and use of relief personnel, identifying trends and implementing corrective action where required.
Contract, Performance and Commercial Management
- Monitor service delivery against agreed KPIs, SLAs, staffing requirements and contractual obligations.
- Prepare accurate monthly performance reporting covering incidents, staffing, training, assurance, service risks, actions and continuous improvement.
- Monitor account expenditure and additional service requests, ensuring costs are authorised, transparent and supported by appropriate records.
- Work with Bidvest Noonan and GPSS stakeholders to resolve service deficiencies and deliver measurable improvement.
- Support contract reviews, budget planning, mobilisation, change control and other commercial activity relevant to the account.
Security Systems and Technology
- Provide operational oversight of access control, CCTV, visitor management, alarm, duress and related security systems at 50 Bank Street.
- Ensure faults, vulnerabilities and service issues are reported, tracked and escalated to the appropriate owner through to resolution.
- Support security technology projects, testing and implementation activity across designated EMEA locations where required.
- Ensure security technology and associated information are used lawfully, proportionately and in accordance with Northern Trust privacy and data-handling requirements.
Governance, Assurance and Continuous Improvement
- Maintain current Assignment Instructions, SOPs, emergency response plans, escalation contacts, training records and other required account documentation.
- Conduct regular operational inspections, audits and assurance reviews, documenting findings and tracking corrective actions to completion.
- Support Northern Trust security surveys, internal reviews, regulatory or client audits, and evidence requests.
- Use incident trends, audit findings, intelligence and performance data to identify improvements and strengthen operational delivery.
- Champion the adoption of standardised, scalable and technology-enabled ways of working across the account and wider regional operations.
Stakeholder and Partner Engagement
- Build effective relationships with GPSS, the SCC, local business leadership, Corporate Real Estate, property management, technology teams, vendors and emergency services.
- Provide clear operational updates, briefings, recommendations and escalation of issues to appropriate stakeholders.
- Promote a professional, discreet and partner-focused security service that supports the safe and effective operation of Northern Trust locations.
- Provide security awareness briefings and practical guidance to Northern Trust partners and relevant third parties where required.

Essential experience and knowledge
- Significant experience managing corporate physical security operations and contracted guarding services in a complex environment.
- Demonstrable experience of leading security personnel, managing rosters and coverage, and addressing performance or employee-relations matters.
- Practical knowledge of access control, CCTV, incident management, investigations, emergency response and operational assurance.
- Experience of vendor, contract, KPI, SLA and cost management.
- Experience coordinating activity across multiple locations or supporting dispersed operational teams.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including operational reporting and stakeholder briefings.
- Ability to work under pressure, exercise sound judgement and manage sensitive information appropriately.
- Competence with Microsoft 365 and security reporting or systems platforms.
Desirable experience and qualifications
- Corporate security experience within financial services or another regulated environment.
- Recognised security management qualification or membership of a relevant professional body.
- Experience supporting crisis management, partner accountability, business continuity or major incident response.
- Experience working with security intelligence, threat information or an intelligence-led operating model.
- Knowledge of security operations and supplier delivery across EMEA.
Role requirements
- Based primarily at 50 Bank Street, London, with flexibility to support incidents, operational requirements and occasional out-of-hours activity.
- Willingness and ability to travel periodically within EMEA.
- Ability to meet applicable screening, vetting, licensing and right-to-work requirements.
