To support our continued growth, we're looking for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join the team!
The Role
As our HSEQ Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in driving Wilten Construction's commitment to excellence in Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality (HSEQ) across all of our projects.
Working closely with our operational teams, you'll lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our HSEQ management systems, ensuring legislative compliance, promoting a positive safety culture and supporting the successful delivery of high-quality projects.
This is a unique opportunity for a passionate HSEQ professional who enjoys influencing positive change, building strong relationships and making a real impact across a growing business. You'll work collaboratively with our site teams, supply chain and leadership team to embed best practice and ensure safety, quality and environmental excellence remain at the heart of everything we do.
The Day to Day
- Lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Wilten Construction's HSEQ strategy and management systems.
- Promote a proactive Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality culture across the business.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and industry best practice.
- Carry out site inspections, audits and compliance reviews across multiple live projects.
- Support project teams with risk assessments, method statements and safe systems of work.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
- Deliver HSEQ training, toolbox talks and guidance to employees and subcontractors.
- Monitor HSEQ performance, analysing trends and producing reports for senior management.
- Support external audits and maintain relevant accreditations and certifications.
- Work closely with clients, consultants and regulatory bodies to ensure the highest HSEQ standards are achieved.
- Champion continuous improvement and drive positive behavioural change throughout the business.
Who are you?
- A minimum of five years experience in an HSEQ role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of HASAWA Legislation and construction safety pratices
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining HSEQ Management Systems.
- Experience with a Tier 2/Commercial/Industrial Projects
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
- Living within a commutable distance of Market Harborough, Leicestershire.
