We’re looking for an experienced IT Workflow Developer based in one of our offices. Regular travel to other office locations may be required. Having access to personal transport is beneficial but not essential.
You will play a key role in identifying, designing, developing, and supporting automated business processes that enhance efficiency, improve user experience, and drive digital transformation across the firm. Working closely with business stakeholders, you will analyse existing processes, gather requirements, and deliver innovative workflow and automation solutions using modern technologies and platforms.
You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of workflow development, from initial consultation and solution design through to testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support, involving integrating systems, managing data flows, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with internal teams and third-party suppliers to ensure reliable and effective solutions.
Throughout each project, you will maintain ownership of deliverables, act as the key liaison between business users and technical teams. You will provide regular updates, manage priorities effectively, and ensure solutions are delivered to a high standard, meeting both operational and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
Workflow & Systems Engineering
- Develop, configure, and maintain workflows across case management, practice management, and finance systems.
- Design and implement technical solutions that streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow development standards, version control practices, and documentation requirement.
Data, Automation & Integration
- Analyse end-to-end data flows across business systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve data quality, accuracy, performance, and automation.
- Build and maintain automated processes using platforms such as Case Management software, Microsoft Power Automate, or equivalent technologies.
- Continually review and optimise existing workflows and integrations.
Governance, Quality & Operational Excellence
- Ensure all developments comply with change management and release processes.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive technical documentation.
- Participate in root cause analysis and problem resolution activities.
- Ensure solutions are secure, resilient, and compliant with regulatory and firm standards.
Risk, Security & Compliance
- Design solutions that protect confidential and sensitive information.
- Apply secure development practices and maintain audit-ready records.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery considerations for critical systems.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, information security policies, and legal sector best practices.
About you:
- 2+ years of experience in a service desk or IT support role.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities and experience in workflow automation, process improvement and systems integration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Experience working within service level agreements (SLAs) and escalation procedures.
- Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and contribute to process improvements.
Technical Skills & Experience Required:
- Operating Systems: Proficiency in navigating, updating, and troubleshooting Microsoft Windows.
- Network Fundamentals: Understanding basic connectivity (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DNS, and IP addresses) and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs).
- Hardware Troubleshooting: Diagnosing issues with laptops, desktops, monitors, and printers.
- Microsoft Office 365: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
- Account Administration: Managing user access and permissions, frequently involving navigating Active Directory (AD) or cloud-based identity providers.
- Ticketing Systems: Logging, categorising, and prioritising support requests. Maintaining IT asset register.
