Boarhunt Garage and Recovery Services Ltd is a well-established breakdown, recovery and transport company based in Fareham, Hampshire. We provide 24-hour assistance to motoring organisations, the Police and National Highways. We also transport plant machinery and forklifts for local companies.
The Role
We are looking for a HGV Class 2 Recovery Driver (LGV Cat C) to join our team.
The role will mainly involve recovering broken down or accident-damaged vehicles and transporting them safely. You will also assist with plant and machinery deliveries when required.
This is a customer-facing role, so good communication skills and a professional attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Recover and transport broken down or accident-damaged vehicles
- Collect and deliver vehicles safely to customers or repair locations
- Assist with transport of plant machinery and forklifts when required
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and motorists
- Complete vehicle checks and follow company safety procedures
- Work safely in a variety of weather and roadside conditions
Job Requirements
- HGV Class 2 Licence (LGV Cat C) – required
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Reliable, professional and safety-focused
- Must be able to pass Police Vetting
- Flexible approach to rota-based working
Experience Needed
- Driving experience: 1 year
- Recovery or transport experience is essential
Working Hours
- Full-time position
- Working on a rota system
- Flexibility available for the right candidate
- Some out-of-hours and weekend work may be required due to the nature of recovery services
