Chair of the Town Centre East & Fingerpost Neighbourhood Board

Help shape the future of Town Centre East and Fingerpost

St Helens Town Centre East and Fingerpost is entering an exciting new chapter. Government has awarded the area Pride in Place funding, a £20m allocation over the next ten years. To manage this programme, both the Council and the MP, are bringing residents, businesses, local organisations and partners together to drive meaningful, longterm change. To guide this work, we are seeking an exceptional individual to serve as Chair of the Town Centre East and Fingerpost Neighbourhood Board.

About the Role

As Chair, you will:

Provide clear, confident leadership to a diverse board of community representatives and partners
Champion the vision for a thriving, inclusive, and proud Town Centre East and Fingerpost
Ensure local voices shape priorities, decisions, and investment
Oversee progress on key projects that strengthen the area’s identity, wellbeing, and opportunities
Build strong relationships across the community, local government, and external stakeholders

This is a highprofile voluntary role that requires strategic thinking, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for placebased improvement.

Have experience in leadership, community development, regeneration, or partnership working
