Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Landscaping Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of landscaping tasks including turfing, planting, fencing, seeding, and slabbing. You will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality outdoor spaces for both residential and commercial projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and level ground for turfing and seeding
- Lay turf and apply grass seed to create healthy lawns
- Carry out soft landscaping works including planting trees, shrubs, and flowers
- Assist in the Installation of various types of fencing, ensuring correct alignment and secure fixing
- Assist with the Laing of paving and slabs to specifications, ensuring level, durable surfaces
- Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently (e.g., turf cutters, whacker plates, cement mixers)
- Follow detailed landscape plans and instructions from Team Leaders
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment on-site
- Ensure all work meets health and safety standards
- Carry out general site labour and assist other team members as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance (essential)
- Knowledge of turfing, planting, fencing, seeding, and slabbing techniques (essential)
- Ability to read and interpret basic site plans (desirable)
- Physically fit and capable of manual labour in various weather conditions
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence (preferred)
