We are currently recruiting for experienced Sewing Machinists to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Bridgend.
This is a permanent opportunity offering excellent earning potential through a generous weekly performance-related bonus scheme.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality finished products while maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
Pay Rate:
£12.71 per hour
Weekly performance-related bonus available
Days of work:
Monday to Thursday
Overtime available on a Friday
Hours of work:
06:00 - 16:15
Job Responsibilities:
- Operate industrial sewing machines to produce high-quality upholstered products.
- Sew and assemble fabric, leather, and other upholstery materials to specifications.
- Follow production schedules and quality standards to meet daily targets.
- Inspect finished work to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Carry out machine checks and basic maintenance where required.
- Read and follow work instructions, patterns, and production drawings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with the production team to achieve output targets.
- Comply with all health and safety procedures.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and efficiency within the manufacturing process.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience using an industrial sewing machine is essential.
- Upholstery machining experience is highly desirable.
- Experience operating Durkopp industrial sewing machines would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet production targets.
- Willingness to learn and develop skills further.
