About me
I am a 21-year-old young man who lives with my family in Saxmundham. I like to keep myself active, so I go to college 3 days a week. I love sports, especially football, and I used to be a good player! I like to follow football leagues, and playing FIFA on the PlayStation is one of my favourite hobbies. I also like clothes, fashion, playing pool, going to the cinema, and taking long walks. I have a mild learning difficulty and OCD, and so I need support to access activities in the community. I’m looking for a support worker who can give me guidance and reassurance when I need it. Someone who understands OCD and learning difficulties would be very helpful.
Please be aware that I’d prefer support workers not to take photos whilst they are supporting me. If you need to use your phone, please could you let me know in advance, so I know you aren’t taking pictures of me.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
· To get me out and about
· To drive me to and from my activities
· Support me with accessing my activities (i.e. Fareshare in Ipswich and leisure activities)

· Previous experience in a caring role

· Experience with people who have learning difficulties

Summary terms and conditions
· Hours, days and times of work: 15+ hours per week – mainly 3 week days ( could increase to weekend)
· Pay rate: £17.00 per hour
· Annual leave: The annual holiday entitlement for this position will be equivalent to the work normally done during 5.6 weeks (statutory entitlement).
· Expenses: You will be reimbursed for prior agreed expenses incurred as part of the role including mileage.
· Sick pay: I do not operate a private sick pay scheme but provided you meet the eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to Statutory Sick Pay (SSP).
· Pension: I do not operate a private pension scheme, but I will fulfil my statutory obligations via the NEST pension scheme.
