Shopping Centre Operative - 4 on 4 off
The Role:
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the shopping centre. Responsibilities include:
- Maintaining cleanliness across all public areas, walkways, entrances, and communal spaces.
- Carrying out litter picking and waste removal throughout the site.
- Monitoring and maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the car park and external areas.
- Assisting with deliveries and ensuring service areas remain organised and safe.
- Cleaning high-touch surfaces, internal glass, seating areas, and fixtures.
- Reporting maintenance issues, hazards, defects, and damage.
- Monitoring stock levels of cleaning supplies and reporting shortages.
- Adhering to all health and safety procedures and site policies.
- Providing excellent customer service to tenants, contractors, and visitors.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the shopping centre.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in cleaning, facilities, retail, or shopping centre environments is desirable.
Basic understanding of cleaning techniques, equipment, and cleaning products.
Attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Awareness of health and safety practices within public environments.
