Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and organised self-employed Golf Event Manager / Support to oversee and facilitate golf events at various venues. This role involves coordinating event logistics, engaging with guests, and ensuring a seamless experience for all participants. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest services within a hospitality environment. This position offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to develop skills in event management and customer engagement.
Duties
- Coordinate all aspects of golf events, including scheduling, setup, and breakdown.
- Engage with guests to ensure they have an enjoyable experience, providing personalised support as needed.
- Upsell additional services or products to maximise revenue opportunities during events.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all event activities run smoothly and on schedule.
- Maintain high standards of organisation by preparing event materials and ensuring all equipment is in place.
- Assist with fundraising activities related to golf events, promoting participation and sponsorship opportunities.
- Collaborate with venue staff to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Handle guest queries professionally, providing excellent guest services throughout the event.
- Keep detailed records of event activities and feedback for continuous improvement.
Skills
- Proven experience in upselling and increasing revenue through guest engagement.
- Excellent time management skills to coordinate multiple tasks efficiently.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning and execution.
- Previous experience in restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environments is advantageous.
- Experience in fundraising or community engagement initiatives is desirable.
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with clients, guests, and team members clearly and confidently.
- Ability to work independently as a self-employed professional while maintaining high standards of service delivery.
