Role Summary
The Day Cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards across the production facility throughout operational hours. This role supports food safety compliance by ensuring production areas, staff facilities, and common areas remain clean, organised, and free from contamination risks.
Key Responsibilities
· Clean and sanitise designated production areas during operational hours
· Maintain cleanliness of floors, surfaces, and equipment exteriors
· Remove waste and maintain waste disposal areas
· Clean staff welfare areas including break rooms, changing rooms, and toilets
· Refill hygiene stations including hand wash, sanitiser, and paper products
· Respond to cleaning requests from production teams
· Follow all hygiene protocols relating to raw pet food production
· Safely handle cleaning chemicals according to company procedures
· Maintain cleaning logs and checklists where required
Requirements
· Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential
· Ability to follow hygiene and safety procedures
· Good attention to detail
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Comfortable working within a production facility environment
Working Conditions
· Work takes place within an active production environment
· PPE and hygiene clothing must be worn
· Some work in chilled areas may be required

Pay: Up to £11.44 per hour
