Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Garden Maintenance Foreman to lead our landscaping team of 2 people in maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will provide a “Hands on “ approach working alongside the other staff members to ensure high standards of horticultural work, and coordinate projects to deliver exceptional garden and landscape services. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional with a passion for gardening and landscape maintenance to take on a leadership training position within a dynamic environment.The successful applicant MUST have a current driving licence . A company vehicle is available.
Responsibilities
the daily activities of the gardening team, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
- Organise and complete numerous daily projects in various private gardens - garden maintenance tasks including pruning, planting, mowing, weeding, and fertilising.
- Operate and maintain various lawnmower, power tools and hand tools safely and effectively
- Monitor the condition of plants and landscapes, identifying issues such as pests or diseases and implementing appropriate solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Provide guidance and training to team members on horticultural techniques, equipment use, and safety procedures.
- Liaise with clients to understand their requirements and provide expert advice on garden care.
Requirements
- Proven experience in gardening, horticulture, or landscape maintenance with an understanding of plant care and garden ground maintenance.
- experience with lawns , plants, trees, shrubs, lawns, fencing .
- Ability to lead a team effectively . This is a hands on role , physically demanding role . Not a supervisory role . But working alongside and leading 2 junior staff .
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise jobs efficiently.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and quality workmanship.
Pay: £30,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
