Job description:
The role is to cover the electrical repairs for planned and responsive works such as lighting replacements and their control devices, faulting finding, EICR testing and remedials for properties and communal areas managed by Local Authorities and Social Housing clients.
To ensure that all electrical systems are safe, operational and meet current compliance requirements. Completing possible upgrade works as specified whilst ensuring all works are completed to a high standard and working towards achievable targets set by our clients and Sureserve Compliance Electrical are met.
General Duties:
- Oversee waste and recycling removal, maintaining records for ISO compliance.
- Fault find and repair faults found on electrical circuits and equipment
- Installation and repair of electrical Lighting equipment
- Perform electrical tests and safe isolation and produce appropriate documentation in accordance with BS7671
- EICR Testing and completions of required remedial works for single and three phase equipment and installations.
- First time fix
- To be able to competently risk assess and manage working environment
- Undertake and complete all works in accordance with current Health & Safety Regulations
- Undertake and complete all work in accordance with BS:7671 and NICEIC Best practice
- Complete works to target times and to a high standard as expected by SCE
- Ensure your vehicle is suitably stocked with materials to allow for first time completion
- Competent and efficient with IT and able to complete online certification and job reports via a PDA
- Be able to liaise with, customers, SCE management and administrative staff
- Prepared to work flexibly to ensure work is completed
- Undertake further training where supplied and required
- Ensure presentable and company uniform is worn and visible at all times whilst representing SCS
- Ensure company vehicle is to be kept clean and tidy, any waste is disposed of inline with company policies and procedures
Requirements:
- Electrical NVQ Level 3
- City & Guilds 2391 (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition
- Minium 3 years of on site experience
- Full UK Driving Licence
- First rate communication skills, able to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues and suppliers
- Flexible and adaptable, with a ‘can do’ attitude
- Ability to multi-task and to prioritise workload
- Ability to work to deadlines whilst paying attention to the detail
