Childrens' Residential - Waking Night Worker
Location: Sale (M33)
Salary: £30,000–£35,000 per annum (depending on experience) (Full Time , permenant PAYE)

About NW Care Group
NW Care Group provides therapeutic residential care for children and young people aged 7–17 who have experienced trauma, adversity and disrupted attachments.

Your role
As a Waking Night Worker, you'll provide a consistent, reassuring presence throughout the night, helping children feel safe while ensuring the home remains calm, secure and welcoming.
You will:
- Be available to offer reassurance and emotional support to children who wake during the night.
- Complete regular welfare checks while maintaining a peaceful home environment.
- Respond calmly and therapeutically to any situations that arise, using de-escalation and relational practice.
- Accurately complete daily recordings, reports and safeguarding documentation.
- Support with household tasks such as laundry, preparing breakfasts and maintaining communal areas to ensure a smooth handover to the day team.
- Work closely with colleagues to provide consistent, child-centred care.
- Always uphold safeguarding responsibilities and promote the welfare of every child.

- Ideally hold a Level 3 Childrens' / Resiential Qualification

Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Willingness to work nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis.
- Willingness to complete all mandatory training, including the Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare if not already achieved.
Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable adults is desirable but we also welcome applicants with transferable skills and values who are committed to learning and developing within residential childcare.
