Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. This role involves providing essential assistance and guidance to individuals, particularly children, in a supportive and nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in mentoring, working with clients with Acquired Brain Injuries contributing positively to the development and wellbeing of those they support. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to individuals, encouraging their independence and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including personal care, mobility, and organisational tasks
- Engage in mentoring activities that promote emotional and social development
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all service users
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure holistic care
Requirements
- Experience or interest in mentoring, working with clients with brain injuries,
- Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills
- Ability to build trusting relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Organised and proactive approach to supporting others’ needs
- Flexibility to adapt to different situations and requirements
- Commitment to safeguarding principles and maintaining confidentiality
Pay: From £13.68 per hour
