Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Summer Holiday Club as Activity Leads or Assistants. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage children in fun, educational activities during school holidays. The successful candidates will help organise and deliver a variety of engaging programmes, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants. Prior experience in childcare, scouts, youth programmes, teaching, nannying, or similar roles is advantageous. Fluency in English is essential. This paid position is ideal for those passionate about working with children and creating memorable holiday experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead or assist in organising a diverse range of holiday activities suitable for children of secondary school age
- Supervise children during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Support the planning and preparation of activity materials and resources
- Foster an inclusive, fun, and educational environment that encourages participation and creativity
- Assist with behavioural management and conflict resolution when necessary
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of activity areas before and after sessions
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure smooth operation of the programme
Experience
- Previous experience working with children through scouts, youth programmes, childcare, nannying, teaching, or similar roles is preferred
- Fluency in English is required
- Ability to organise activities independently whilst working as part of a team
- Passion for engaging children in fun and educational activities
- Organised, responsible, with excellent communication skills
