Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Barista (full-time & part-time) with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team at SENZO. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, possesses excellent customer service skills, and is committed to creating high-quality beverages. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving various coffee and tea drinks, maintaining a clean and organised workspace, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages, including espresso, lattes, cappuccinos, and speciality drinks, in accordance with our recipes and standards.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other coffee equipment.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, including cleaning equipment, counters, and tables.
- Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products and equipment.
- Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and informing management of low-stock items.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional attitude.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Requirements
- 1-2 years of experience as a Barista in a fast-paced environment.
- Profound knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, and equipment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a genuine dedication to customer service.
- Ability to lead, train, and motivate fellow baristas effectively.
- Proficiency in latte art and attention to detail in presentation.
- Awareness of coffee industry trends with a willingness to adapt to new practices.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive under pressure.
