Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional SIA Security Officer (Gateman) to oversee access control and maintain safety at our clients premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring entry points, ensuring security protocols are followed, and providing a visible security presence to deter unauthorised access. you will be required to register visitors and deliveries using the clients system (use of Tabley) This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals committed to maintaining safety and security within a dynamic environment.
Duties
- Manage access to the site by verifying authorised personnel and visitors
- Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to monitor activity around the premises
- Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential security threats
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
- Record detailed incident reports and maintain logs of daily activities
- Enforce site policies and procedures in accordance with company standards
- Liaise with law enforcement or emergency services when required
Requirements
- you MUST hold a valid Security industry authority (SIA) Licence SG/DS or CP Licence
- construction site gateman experience preffered.
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
- First aid certification is desirable but not essential
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail
- basic understanding of IT Systems (handheld tablet)
- Strong communication skills and professional demeanour
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations effectively
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including evenings or weekends if necessary
- strong time management and reliability.
