Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse by performing various tasks related to the handling and movement of goods. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Manage shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and timely dispatch of products.
- Conduct quality control checks on incoming and outgoing products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Perform picking and packing tasks, preparing orders for shipment with precision.
- Engage in heavy lifting and materials handling as required, ensuring safe practices are followed at all times.
- Maintain an organised and clean workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in stock management, including inventory counts and restocking as necessary.
- Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues when needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; certification is an advantage.
- Experience with shipping/receiving processes and warehouse management systems is beneficial.
- Strong physical fitness is essential due to the demands of heavy lifting and prolonged standing.
- A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and teamwork is highly valued.
