Job Title: HGV Class 1 Driver Days
Location: Reading
Salary: up to £17:50 per hour
We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team in Reading. The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 1 license, a good driving record, and relevant experience in driving heavy goods vehicles and experienced is use of curtain side trailers
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate an HGV Class 1 vehicle to transport goods to and from different locations
- Follow all traffic and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups
- Communicate effectively with the dispatcher and other team members
- Handle goods carefully and ensure they are secured properly
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 1 license
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience driving heavy goods vehicles
- Good driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Ability to read and follow GPS and other navigational systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Physically fit and able to handle heavy loads
