Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for various tasks within our warehouse environment, ensuring smooth operations and efficient handling of goods. Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading goods using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques
- Stocking shelves and organising inventory in designated areas
- Operating warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 for inventory tracking and data entry
- Picking and packing orders accurately for shipment fulfilment
- Assisting with shipping and receiving activities, including documentation and scheduling
- Performing basic mechanical tasks related to warehouse equipment maintenance
- Ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times during materials handling activities
- Assisting with construction or refurbishment projects within the warehouse as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Skills
- Proven experience in warehouse operations or similar environment
- Proficiency with forklift operation and safety protocols
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and AS400 platforms
- Strong materials handling skills, including heavy lifting and manual dexterity
- Knowledge of stock management, picking & packing, shipping & receiving procedures
- Mechanical knowledge beneficial for equipment maintenance or troubleshooting
- Experience in construction or related trades is advantageous
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
