Watson-Marlow is a well-established and highly regarded manufacturing company specialising in the production of pumps and fluid management equipment. Their products are used across a range of industries, including pharmaceutical, food and beverage, water and manufacturing, with products supplied to customers around the world.
We are looking for a practical and reliable Machine Shop Operative to support the day-to-day running of the workshop.
About You
We're looking for someone who is practical, reliable and hardworking, with a willingness to get stuck in and support the wider team.
A background in engineering, machining or manufacturing would be an advantage, but full training can be provided to the right person.
Your duties will include:
- Moving raw materials around the Machine Shop.
- Removing and recycling waste materials.
- Cleaning machines and workshop equipment.
- Testing and changing machine coolant when required.
- Supporting general workshop maintenance.
- Assisting with tooling and equipment.
- Supporting benching and washing operations.
- Keeping the workshop clean, safe and organised.
- Completing relevant paperwork and reporting any health and safety concerns.
- Supporting 5S activities across the Machine Shop.
