Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Urgent DPD Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering parcels swiftly and efficiently across designated routes, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company's high standards of service. This role requires a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport parcels to various locations within the specified area.
- Ensure timely collection and delivery of packages, prioritising urgent deliveries.
- Load and unload goods, including heavy items, with proper handling techniques.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain signatures upon receipt.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status or any issues encountered.
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with road regulations.
- Follow all health and safety protocols during deliveries, including COVID-19 measures if applicable.
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as organising parcels and preparing deliveries when required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably within commercial driving or warehouse environments.
- Valid minimum 3 years Full UK driver’s licence with a good driving record.
- Experience with heavy lifting and manual handling of parcels.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members.
- Ability to work under pressure, managing multiple deliveries efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic regulations within the area.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or warehouse operations is advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £2,200.00-£3,600.00 per month
