Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Joiner/Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and installing high-quality wooden structures and fixtures across various projects. Your expertise will contribute to creating durable, functional, and aesthetically pleasing environments. Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom wood components using hand tools and power tools, ensuring precision and quality in every piece
- Assemble structural frameworks, cabinetry, roofing elements, and other wooden fixtures according to detailed plans and specifications
- Install carpentry works on-site, including framing, flooring, doors, windows, and interior finishes
- Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols
- Support roofing projects by installing trusses, sheathing, and weatherproofing materials as needed
- Assist with construction painting, masonry work, plumbing setups, and electrical installations when required to ensure project cohesion
- Conduct routine inspections of completed work to verify quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary
Qualifications
- Proven experience in carpentry, joinery, or related construction roles with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in using hand tools (saws, chisels, hammers), power tools (drills, sanders), and fabrication equipment
- Knowledge of construction techniques including roofing, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, and painting is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments for extended periods
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings for accurate fabrication and installation
- Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving and safety compliance
