Overview
We are seeking an energetic and reliable Mini Digger Driver to join our construction team. In this role, you will operate mini excavators to assist with excavation, site preparation, and material handling. Your mechanical knowledge and driving skills will be essential in supporting our projects' smooth progress and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate mini excavators safely and efficiently to perform excavation tasks on construction sites
- Conduct routine inspections of the mini digger to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
- Follow project plans and instructions from site supervisors to complete assigned tasks accurately
- Maintain a clean work environment around the machinery and report any mechanical issues promptly
- Support other team members with manual handling and site duties as needed
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge of excavators and related machinery
- Proven experience operating mini diggers or excavators in a construction setting
- Valid commercial driving license with experience in operating construction vehicles
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions with physical stamina
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
You must have the relevant CPCS/NPORS and be able to prove your right to work in the UK.
